M&K Sound launches New IC65 and IC80 In-Ceiling loudspeakers

Authentic Studio Heritage. Seamlessly Integrated.
With the IC65 and IC80, M&K Sound expands its architectural range with two high-performance in-ceiling models delivering renowned studio accuracy in a discreet, design-led format. Built on proven acoustic platforms, both combine precision, dynamics, and controlled directivity for immersive home cinema and high-end residential installations.

The IC65 features M&K’s proprietary 6.5” mid-woofer—also used in the acclaimed MPS1620P and IW95—bringing signature speed, control, and tonal balance to a compact in-ceiling design.
A newly developed, axially mounted 1” soft fabric dome tweeter with 15° swivel adjustment enables precise on-axis optimization for accurate imaging. A slimmer grille enhances both acoustic transparency and visual discretion.

IC80 – Greater Scale. Deeper Impact.
M&K Sound’s first 8″ in-ceiling model, the IC80 builds on the same system principle with an 8″ woofer for deeper bass and increased dynamic headroom. Designed for larger spaces, it delivers powerful yet balanced performance without compromising architectural elegance.
Like the IC65, it features the new 1” swivel tweeter and a refined, low-profile grille for seamless integration.
Together, the IC65 and IC80 embody M&K’s core philosophy: studio-grade voicing, controlled response, and high dynamic capability—bringing authentic performance into modern architectural environments.

M&K Sound launches THX® Certified Dominus IW500 reference in-wall loudspeaker

The IW500 is M&K Sound’s most state of the art and sophisticated loudspeaker to date and includes several technological advances, allowing it to pass stringent testing and receive THX Certified Dominus status. The IW500 is a three way loudspeaker sporting a true 92 dB of sensitivity with all its drivers mounted in a vertical line to achieve precise on and off axis audio performance requirements for superb imaging. ‘It just sounds real’.

Also a first for the industry, the IW500 is the only THX Certified Dominus loudspeaker that can be mounted either vertically or horizontally as a center channel. In either scenario, whether placed into a behind screen baffle wall or masonry surrounding a flat panel display, the performance characteristics are identical, leveraging increased flexibility for residential or professional installations.
