A look inside the M3 Music Mix Mobile Studio truck during the 58th Grammy show
M3’s mobile mixing studios were designed to accommodate the vast demands of high channel input, multi-performance television and audio productions. M3 provides broadcast mixing services for some of the biggest events in the US such as the “NFL championship big game” halftime show, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concerts and the GRAMMY Awards. Both of M3’s rolling control room trucks, Horizon and Eclipse have been upgraded to M&K Sound speakers.
The three front channel (L,C,R) duties are handled by the M&K 2510P monitor, a selfpowered version of the M&K Sound S150 used by discriminating residential audio/ video enthusiasts around the globe. Two M&K 1611P powered monitors are used for the rear surround channels while two X10 push/pull confguration powered subwoofers accurately reproduced all the bass on the stage.
After the Grammy Awards broadcast, Music Mix Mobile’s system design and technical engineer Joel Singer said, “
We want to acknowledge the hard work and outstanding effort by all crews and vendors on the (Grammys) show, but have to single out M&K Sound. The imaging, tonality, and sonic presence of the M&K Sound speakers are a welcome addition to Music Mix Mobile. We couldn’t have been more thrilled with the control room sound and how it translated to the broadcast world.”
Residential home theater and music enthusiasts can enjoy the same life-like precision sound as the pros by using M&K Sound high performance speakers in their own systems.M&K Sound speakers are sold by a network of specialty retailers and custom integrators.
